How It Works - Device Features
Application strengths
Device detection: MediaPort Nodes scans for Bluetooth-enabled devices located within the set range 1 to 100 meters² (100/330 feet)
Competition style random delivery of content: his new service restricts the amount of times a random piece of content can be delivered, eg a single winning voucher randomly delivered during a campaign of X amounts of downloads.
User opt-in: Every device within the specified range with their bluetooth enabled will be offered the opportunity to opt-in to the campaign. This happens via an alert on their phone screen. This alert contains the name of the company that wishes to send content to the end user.
Content transfer: Once user has accepted the request, the MediaPort Node device activates the file transfer. Depending on the size of the file, this transfer can be within 2 seconds and 1 minute.
Blacklist: Every device that is contacted by the MediaPort Node bluetooth network will be added to an intelligent blacklist to prevent them from being “spammed”. The blacklist remains active for the duration of the campaign. There is an option to override the blacklist feature by using creating short range touch (hot)spots.
Viral Effect: Sending compelling media to consumers increases the likelihood of your message getting sent on to friends and family. These individuals many not have been in the range of the device and would otherwise have been unable to receive these message |
